General purpose of the job
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Education Services with the education of new nursing teammates, for ensuring all new teammates have completed the core induction process and have completed the relevant core curriculum. They are responsible for leading the practical component of the new nurse education program and supporting the endorsement of the teammate’s clinical competency. Additionally the position will support the implementation of DaVita’s e-learning programs across KSA.
Essential duties and responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:
- Assists with the implementation of induction training for all new nursing staff
- Coordinates and assists with PD training classes and programs
- Coordinates and assists with VAC training classes and programs
- Coordinates and assists HD training classes and education programs
- Supports Clinical Preceptors and provides ongoing support for teammates in the clinical setting
- Provides ongoing support for the provision of classroom and e-learning programs
- Ensures Policies and Procedures (P&Ps) used in training classes are up to date
- Ensures all course documentation is appropriately completed
- Arranges certification and graduation for staff completing course
- Ensures records are kept of course completion
- Collects and assesses course evaluations
- Provides regular reports to the Director of Education Services on course completions
- Provides support for the clinical education programs in Saudi Arabia, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring required lecturers are available
- Ordering and maintaining all clinical, lab, and office supplies for classes
- Overseeing classroom logistics, including but not limited to teammate registration, coordination of food, delivering welcome bags to hotel, assisting with handouts, and classroom set-up
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Working overtime with little or no notice as needed
- Attending team meetings and phone conferences
- Knowing, understanding, and following teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department/DaVita procedures
- Assisting with special projects for clinical application as required
- Assuming responsibility for individual administrative/clerical duties as needed
- Ensures consistent, regular, punctual attendance
- Attends mandatory training as part of the onboarding process
- Travel required: up to 30%
