Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the CFO in establishing financial strategy and policy for the long term health of the business and lead the Finance & Risk Management covering; Finance, Accounting, Treasury operations, Risk Management, Budgeting and Planning
• Lead the annual planning process; implement the financial objectives and budgetary controls for the business unit in coordination with all other departments.
• Perform periodic analysis of operating results including variation in actual performance and suggest timely action to achieve financial targets
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws
IFRS, GAAP, SOCPA
• Review external and internal audit reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Ensure accurate, timely and detailed financial reporting to regulators, external financial agencies and completion of management reports on key financial parameters including pricing, profitability, fund management etc
• Assist in establishing robust financial systems and procedures and maintain adequate high quality people to execute financial strategy
• Lead efforts to ensure proper cash management, working capital, Capex and liquidity in the business while maximizing profitability
• Ensure smooth and robust internal control systems are implemented and followed across the business
• Lead cost effectiveness initiative in the business unit and act as a effective cost controller
• Optimize business application usage and seek creative financial solutions
• Support senior management in financial assessment of the strategy
• Assist the CFO in building robust management information systems and performance reporting systems to support sound decision making
• Lead all other finance related initiatives in supervision of CFO for long term financial health and growth of the business.
