Description
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing and continually evaluating the affiliate Legal & Compliance strategy- Independently review, interpret, evaluate and analyse relevant laws and regulations- Evaluate and analyse legal and compliance risks and provide assessment to the management team- Provide fast, effective, high quality and business oriented day to day legal and compliance support- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the region, as well as internal policies- All contractual and legal matters relating to the distributors and agents- Work on global legal and compliance matters and liaise with business area, regional, and HQ legal and compliance function- Provide strategic direction and primary oversight for all litigation matters, disputes and arbitrations within affiliate (both proactively and defensively)- Responsibility for Legal & Compliance department budget
Profile
- A degree from an accredited law school.- Minimum of 4 years' Legal & Compliance experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.- Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation and international business transactions.- Cross cultural understanding and experience in working with cross functional and regional teams are a plus.- Fluency in written and spoken English.- Arabic language skills are also required.
