GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the direction and oversight of the Maintenance Department, their employees, expenditures within budgeted guidelines, care of resort assets both repair and prevention, and, lastly, anticipation of future needs of the Resort and planning there of.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
1. Provide for and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance systems for all Resort assets.
2. Ensure direction of staff by management and supervisory personnel in an effectual and productive manner.
3. Coordinate with all contractors on behalf of the resort management as assigned by the General Manager.
4. Prepare an annual budget.
5. Provide education and job training for engineering staff.
6. Provide General Manager with weekly schedule to include overtime request as needed.
7. Maintain an up to date file of SOP’s as provided by the General Manager.
8. Create departmental SOP’s and educate staff as to procedures thereof.
9. Create and / or maintain an up to date training manual and program for all department positions.
10. Maintain a daily, weekly and / or monthly inspection of all areas of responsibility.
11. Maintain an inventory of resort assets under his jurisdiction and their up to date repairs.
12. Maintain Energy, Water, and / or other “readings” as directed by the General Manager.
13. Communicate to General Manager as needed resort needs or any other concerns, advice or information as necessary to ensure proper running of resort and member care.
14. Anticipate the needs of resort personnel, including membership, and react in the best interest of the ownership.
15. Ensure “membership” hospitality program is in place and all resort staff is abiding by its objectives.
16. Assist fellow resort staff in making decision and taking action which meets the mission statement of the resort.
17. Assist the General Manager, as instructed, in the efficient operation of the resort.
