The Safety Officer is responsible for fire fighting, rescue, and emergency medical aid. He also participates in programs for the prevention of fire, saving of life and property to educate safety awareness. The position is also responsible for rapidly, efficiently and safely performing various duties under emergency conditions frequently involving considerable hazard. The work includes routine duties to check fire fighting equipment and report any damage to his supervisor. The presence is to make an area safer by minimising the risks, caused by fire and other hazards. To promote fire safety and implement fire safety standards throughout the project premises. Continuously undergoes exercises, practice drills, lectures and other training to increase fire safety awareness.
