-Deliver the factory vision, mission and objectives to all Manufacturing Division employees
working and ensure they are properly understood.
- Develop a Manufacturing Plan based on company’s business plan to serve marketing and
sales objectives to achieve sales targets in terms of product range, quality standards and competitiveness.
- Organize Manufacturing Division to attain optimal utilization of resources.
-Direct & supervise the development of a comprehensive operational manual containing work instructions for each of the production lines and shop floor activities.
- Direct & supervise the development of a comprehensive quality control manual outlining policies and procedures.
- Direct & supervise the development of job descriptions for all staff including Managers,
Supervisors and operators.
- Direct & supervise the implementation of a management by objective system to ensure the achievement of set goal and objectives, as well as measuring staff performance.
- Identify areas requiring automation/ Systemizing to improve control, accuracy and timely reporting / decision making.
- Perform studies to upgrade manufacturing capability, de-bottle necking and achieve
factory balancing and recommend in order of priority.
-Direct and supervise the development of Manufacturing Division’s budget based on the
company’s business plan.
- Report periodically on operational results including progress on various projects,
activities and achievements.
- Chief operating officers must prepare reports for the MD on the day-to-day activities in each department. The reports should evaluate the
performance of each department in a company, including whether they met production goals and budgets.
- Chief operating officers allocate the resources department manager’s need, such as funds, labor and equipment, to ensure they meet their
goals.
- COOs must conduct regular meetings with department managers to remain up to date on the
status of each area of the company.
