Summary of Position: Responsible for managing all aspects of a specific department(s) within the restaurant including the selection, development and performance management of restaurant employees, optimizing profits and increasing sales. Manages scheduled shifts ensuring guest satisfaction. Manages all operational issues ensuring the Steak House standards of quality and service are met. Duties & Responsibilities: - Manages all areas of operations for a specific department within the front of the house including direct marketing, profitability, and sales growth while ensuring the Steak House standards of quality and service. Builds sales and controls costs. - Manages entire operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts which include daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness. Manages staffing throughout shift including deciding when employees can check out for the day. Provides employees with positive and negative feedback and takes appropriate action. Ensures that all employees adhere to the Company’s uniform standards. Performs line checks throughout the shift. - Ensure that department is properly staffed to par, at all times, report any employees shortage to Area Manager or General Manager. Manages and schedules department as required. Conducts orientation and ensures ongoing development of staff. Conducts Performance Reviews every six months with department employees. Implements manpower plan. - Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. - Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. - Responsible to update Restaurant Preparation Par Level and to make sure that all stocks in the store are available and send Release Order on weekly basis. - Set the Quality Objectives and the way of adhering it.
