To assist in developing the long-term (3-5 years) financial plan for segments and various project plans; as well as to development of Consumer Unit business plans and budgets and; monitoring industry trends and market developments in order to assess their potential impact and formulate business planning recommendations.
Functional Responsibilities:
1. Assist in development of the long-term (3-5 years) financial plan for segments and customer touch points, in addition to the commercial plans for various purposes (project plans) to facilitate achievement of unit objectives and project implementation plans.
2. Contribute in the development of Consumer Unit business plans and budgets in order to effectively support the decision-making process of other segments and teams.
3. Undertake the synchronisation of financial plans and budgets with the product roadmap - as well as other roadmaps - with the view to avoid and rectify incongruences.
4. Collaborate and align between Segments, Sales and Customer Care teams in order to develop a consolidated plan for the Consumer Unit highlighting of core areas of focus and proposed actions.
5. Plan pro-actively and forecast possible target deviations and identify necessary corrective actions so as to provide transparency, risk assessment and timely alerts based on early monthly outlooks.
6. Monitor industry trends and market developments (as well as company news) regularly in order to assess their potential impact and formulate strategic recommendations in response.
7. Analyse trends in the competitive landscape - across key market segments within the portfolio - to derive knowledge of key growth drivers by market, USP and positioning of the service/product across the different Consumer segments and apply in the business plan.
8. Assess and identify critical issues/opportunities and strategic issues that may arise during the forecasted period with the view to develop appropriate mitigation plans.
9. Undertake all aspects of plans and financial evaluations, incl. ensuring that plans are entered and tracked in the respective systems.
10. Assist in the development and reporting of the BSC actual KPI’s analysis/projection versus forecast and other management reports related to business planning.
11. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the line manager.
