Jobs Research Product Development Manager (Pastry & Bakery) - Sunbulah Group in Saudi Arabia
Direction of Subordinates:
- Manages the activities & operations of new product development, cost saving initiatives, current products continuous fixing in terms of ingredients and process.
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
- Monitors the application of all policies, processes and procedures related to Sunbulah’s research and development function.
Day- to- Day Operations:
- Execution of marketing/ Sales initiatives in the field of product development in pastry and bakery.
- Cost saving projects related to recipe and ingredients optimization execution and follow up for completion as per plan.
- Ensuring the right market research and customer requirements understanding and training for relative production/ quality/ product development in-house partners.
- Maintenance of documents (BOM, product manual, product card, ingredients trial records, etc.) and ensure the right documents distribution.
- Coordination with maintenance/ technical department for new/ modified equipment’s/ machinery commissioning upon trials and product performance compliance.
- Control of pastry and bakery products sensory evaluation in coordination with the QC, Marketing and sales.
Job Specific Accountabilities:
- Manages all product development activities in the pastry and bakery plant.
- Interaction with food service customers for product trials/ needs.
- Participate in brain storming and root cause analysis in case of a technical problem or a customer complaint.
- Control all suppliers’ samples and product development laboratory assets.
- Participates in company’s food/ trade show.
Continuous improvement :
- Continual improvement on the technical expertise by implementing internationally recognized principles in bakery and pastry and advice continuously on market trends in terms of ingredients, technologies and best practices.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
