Our client, a well known automotive rental company is currently recruiting for a Company Director. You will be reporting to the COO
Job Overview:
To independently manage and grow the business, support strategic new business initiatives, identifying potential new opportunities, meet growth targets; take ownership of budgeting; business forecasting; financial management, plan, formulate and execute the sales and marketing plan.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives annually, and submitting time projections to corporate management for approval.
2. Effectively communicating with the manager on a weekly basis to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
3. Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary.
4. Overseeing the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time.
5. Coordinating regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
6. Hiring all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and developing short and long-term goals for each manager
7. Overseeing the training of all managers.
8. Maintaining an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
9. Overseeing and maintaining compensation plans for all employees.
10. Overseeing advertising programs and merchandising strategies.
11. Manages the business effectively and efficiently through planning and execution;
12. Creates, maintains and develop Company policies and strategies within the Corporate Group guidelines;
13. Improves and adds value to the general management function by implementing systems and processes that will re-engineer the business and refine the customer service and quality standards;
14. Seeks new ways to increase and develop business opportunities, new and additional services towards maintaining the Company’s competitive edge;
15. Continuously refine and improve the quality of customer interaction, satisfaction and retention by working towards improving standards, providing the best facilities and the highest technical skills;
16. Continually monitors the Company’s financial situation on a daily basis to achieve stated financial objectives;
17. Exercise stringent control of expenses without adversely affecting business performance;
18. Provides leadership and motivation to staff within the company;
