A leading company in the Construction Equipment & Supplies field has an exciting opportunity for Country Spare Parts Manager based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work directly with the Company’s General Manager and the company’s Main Suppliers. The Country Spare Parts Manager will be responsible for developing the Spare Parts business to a successful and profit generating part of the Company; analyze the market regarding competitors, market shares and different qualities of products. Has what it needs to understand the market potential, to derive sales & marketing strategy, create additional potential with new services and to motivate and steer the Parts Sales-team. This Candidate is expected to achieve optimal efficiencies of purchasing and stock maintenance attentive of supply and demand. Also, he is expected to be price-quality orientated and knows how to deal with competitors and the customer respects you for this. To know how to drive change, recommend structure, and to establish an organizational leadership structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales steering / pricing & marketing:
• Understanding the market potential; deriving sales & marketing strategy based on the market potential. Develop additional sales opportunities / services for the customers.
• Establishing Budget (targets) in conjunction with regional managers, General Manager and Financial Manager and manage those targets constantly.
• Establishing national key accounts and formulating targets and discount levels, and monitoring progress towards those targets.
• Establishing and leading a team of on-the-road parts salesmen to service customer needs.
• Establish Marketing tools and materials to promote the use of parts with our customers.
• Liaising with Finance department to ensure customers remain within credit limits and ensuring receipt of payment from customers.
• Setting and maintaining the national pricing structure for all spare parts for all franchises. Including maintaining the Item/part numbers within the ERP system.
• Competitive parts monitoring to ensure we are locally price and quality competitive.
• Establish an on-line parts ordering method for our customers compatible with the ERP system.
• Establish an on-line parts ordering system for the on-the-road spare parts salesmen compatible with the ERP system
Stock Management:
• The control of the spare parts at a national level, 5 branches in total and may include responsibility for additional future potential branches and/or outlets. Ensuring inventory level and inventory turnover is optimum. Monitoring slow moving items and taking action to promote those items and/or return them to the supplier.
Purchasing /Supplier Management:
• Manufacturers/suppliers annual evaluation : Follow and implement each manufacturer /supplier evaluation done on a yearly basis.
• Ensuring the most commercially advantageous purchasing of parts across the country, this will include a mix of sea and air freight. Establish safety stock levels and economic reorder quantities in conjunction with parts managers and finance dept. Keep this updated within the ERP system.
• On-line supplier parts ordering - driving the integration with Suppliers to eliminate duplication of entry, while maintaining that there is sufficient authorization before a firm order is placed.
• Liaising and communicating with suppliers on competitive parts pricing on a regular basis.
HR Management:
• Maintain staff harmony and improve productivity.
• Recruitment of staff and maintaining required Saudisation ratios
