WHAT:
The jobs in this level are subject matter experts in the area of legal. The jobs require detailed knowledge of contracts, litigation, corporate governance, legal administration and compliance in order to provide guidance and legal consultation..
HOW:
* Provide subject matter expert in the Legal Affairs area
* Assist in forecasting the workload of lawyers depending on number and accuracy of contracts and investigations
* Review, approve and negotiate (when necessary) Zain contracts, special and strategic agreements, standard clauses, specific terms and conditions, memorandum of understandings (MOUs), letters of intent, requests for proposals (RFPs), etc. ensuring legality and adherence to Zain policies
* Review legal risks and deviations in contracts and agreements and provide improvements in line with industry practices, applicable business regulations, statutes and ordinances
* Conduct investigations of all committed financial, technical, criminal infringements, grievances and complaints submitted internally in order to take appropriate legal action provide legal advice
* Provide information and support to the legal team and other internal stakeholders on legal and contractual issues to ensure that Zain is operating within the legal framework locally and regionally
* Supervise cases of network violations in the regions and take appropriate decision from a legal perspective
* Review claims received from legal authorities to verify fairness and conduct necessary investigation and apply measurements
* Report on the performance of outsourced law firms to decide on contract renewal
* Assist in the development of statements of claim, counter-statements, warning letters and responses with legal effect in order to maintain the legal rights of Zain
* Represent Zain in strategic cases and court hearings raised in favor or against Zain before judicial bodies in the different regions
* Negotiate agreements terms to ensure that the agreements are legally advantageous
* Work closely with the Regulatory Affairs to ensure legal and regulatory compliance of Zain agenda with the rules and regulations, particularly the CITC
* Supervise all legal aspects related to labor matters and ensure compliance with common labor related regulatory procedures (discipline, health, safety etc.)
* Assist in providing legal opinion and consultation to the Board of Directors (BoD) and CEO
* Conduct complex legal studies to stay abreast with local and regional laws and regulations
* Review the latest legal rules, regulations and laws that impact legal contracts and cases
* Maintain confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information
