Purpose: Assists Financial Controller on accounting matters by coordinating/summarising monthly and periodic financial results as well as the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting and maintenance of proper books of accounts as per IFRS.

Key Accountability Areas
Accounting
Maintains and prepare all accounts to obtain P&L, balance sheets, and Cash Flow statements for Saudi and consolidated APC financial statements.
Analyses and maintain balance sheet accounts, such as loans, prepaid, accruals to ensure accuracy of books of accounts.
Guides and supervises subordinates in carrying out their duties and ensure smooth coordination between departments to achieve agreed-upon targets.
Reporting
- Prepares and submits monthly and periodic financial reports, such as Trial Balance & Management Reports by maintaining all transactions belonging to GL account.
- Prepares Sales and Costs reports by analysing sales invoices and inventory cost in order to define gross margins for each business unit.
- Provides Heads of Departments and Business unit managers with any required financial reports/ data.
- Assists Financial Controller in Board Meeting preparations.
Budgeting
Prepares all Corporate Support functions’ budgets by coordinating with relevant business unit leaders and analysing existing and prospect financial data to provide profitability insights.
Auditing
Provides internal and external auditors with all financial data in order to facilitate auditing procedures, and responds to any given queries raised by auditors.
Policies, procedures and processes
Applies and ensures adherence to all financial policies, such as Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Expenses, Inventory, and Fixed Assets policies.
Safety, Health and Environment
- Direct compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors
- Oversee the resolution of escalated non-compliance to policies and procedures in order to foster a safety, health and environment culture, mitigate risks, and protect APC’s interests
People Management
- Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Finance
- Lead, guide and evaluate a team of unit heads
- Provide development opportunities to the team and ensure career paths and succession plans are charted out
- Empower team members to take business decisions by effectively delegating authority
- Identify and recruit key senior talent for Finance
- Set and communicate clear performance expectations, coach and provide support and regular feedback to Finance unit heads on performance
- Act as a role model to champion APC's values to employees
