Jobs Management in Saudi Arabia
Main purpose of job
To lead and coordinate the research, analysis and coordination of
information relevant to the development of the organization’s strategy
and policies and to provide a source of expertise to the organization.
Main responsibilities
1. Supervise a team of research and support staff, ensuring that they
are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their
responsibilities to the required standards.
2. Develop and implement research methods and work processes to
ensure that a high standard of service is provided to the organiza-
tion.
3. Assist in the development of the organization’s research policies
to ensure that these support the overall mission and objectives.
4. Develop and implement research programmes relevant to the
organization and ensure that results are communicated clearly,
concisely and accurately to managers and staff.
5. Maintain and develop a comprehensive and up-to-date know-
ledge of research methods and developments to ensure that any
research carried out is based on the best and most up-to-date
methods and information.
6. Review all research reports and publications to ensure a high
degree of accuracy, clarity and readability.
7. Develop and maintain contacts with external sources to ensure
that the best possible information is gained and to provide effect-
ive advice to managers and staff.
8. Represent the organization at external meetings and conferences
on research issues, ensuring that a positive image of the organiza-
tion is promoted.
9. Oversee the research budget, ensuring that any research projects
undertaken are relevant, accurately costed and provide value for
money.
