Job Summary:
Evaluate, manage and counsel patients with Speech language and swallowing disorder to improve communication and/or swallowing skills; perform administrative duties and supervise junior speech-language pathologist. May serve as a coordinator for sub-specialty programs within the CSD department.
Principle Duties:
1.Integral member of the healthcare team.
2. Test, evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with speech language and swallowing disorders.
3. Determine the need for a referral and respond to such requests.
4. Select testing method and equipment, interpret results; relay information to Physicians and to interdisciplinary teams as necessary.
5.Provide direct services using a variety of service delivery models to treat and /or address communication, swallowing or other upper aero digestive concerns.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
PhD- minimum of 1 year clinical experience
Masters in Speech Language Pathology - minimum of 4 years clinical experience
BS in Speech Language Pathology - minimum of 7 years clinical experience
Masters in Speech Language - minimum of 4 years clinical experience
