The Telematics Sales Representative will consult with prospective customer management to understand their
challenges, assess their business needs, plans and executes a detailed plan of action to win customers, seeks and
works closely with all levels in the prospective company to assure complete understanding and buy-in at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
● Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily
work schedule to call existing or potential sales targets.
● Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
● Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly
work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
● Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
● Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making
recommendations to management.
● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional
publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
● Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
● Travels extensively to visit prospective and existing customers.
● Delivers sales presentations to a variety of customer groups and associations
● Demonstrates our products at trade shows and at various meetings
● Negotiates the sale with the prospective customer
● Works closely with customer, field and internal resources to insure a successful installation and
implementation of the product
● Maintains regular contact with customers to assure that their satisfaction increases
● Provides timely reports on travel schedule, calls, working prospects, forecasts, and expenses.
