PURPOSE
Forecast material needs on Projects & identify the cost effective means to procure them in schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proactively Identify material or service needs by effectively communicating & follow-up with concerned.
• Analyze & Verify Material requests.
• Seeking quotations for required material & services from potential subcontractor/supplier.
• Review and evaluate quotations to prepare cost and technical comparative analysis.
• Further negotiate pricing with supplier.
• Prepare selective suppliers for final evaluation of manager.
• Requisition of tools, consumable and miscellaneous items needed on-site and inventory.
• Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedite of materials.
• Continuously measure and manage supplier performance.
• Material inspection request (MIR) upon delivery. Monitor & Coordinate material delivery on site, ensuring that the material meets the specification require for the project.
• Follow up with suppliers/Subcontractors for invoices & delivery notes.
• Prepare the technical/company/material submittals to get approval from the consultant.
