• Manage selection, recruitment of DP World Manpower man power in coordination with Head of Departments
• Facilitate and deliver training and educational programs covering the learning of the English language
• Manage Human Resource Database (Recruitment & Training) System
KEY ACCONTABILITIES
• Responsible for safety and discipline in work area
• Assist HR & Administration Manager and HR Asst Manager in designing a recruitment policy and support functional managers in conducting all phases of recruitment, selection and staffing in the terminal
• Based on budgets submitted by departmental/ functional managers, prepare a recruitment plan at the beginning of each year
• Manage publication of any job vacancy internally throughout bulletin boards or externally throughout advertisement in local newspapers
• Assess shortage and surpluses of human resources and recommend transfers from or to other departments
• Coordinate on behalf of the company in dealing with local or international recruitment companies
• Screen and refer applicants for job openings, administer pre-employment tests, check references and conduct initial end final interview
• Conduct exit interviews for resigning employees
• Ensure that information about recruitments is communicated to Clerk – Employee database for updating in the system
• Any other work deemed fit for structuring of tasks and goals, to achieve high productivity with efficient utilisation of equipment and labour
• Manage recruitment plan and implement the same in accordance with the requirement of the port and Saudization and other overarching laws and policies
• Personally participate in recruitments of employees in critical positions (Saudi nationals and persons above grade 12)
• Track recruitment and attrition rates and ascertain reasons for the same. Estimate cost of hiring and communicate to managers the significance of employee retention
• Develop of a Human Resource Development Plan for employees
• Participate in induction training of employees and structure the program
• Provide training in the use of computers and software, programs in English language
• Confer with Head of Departments to gain knowledge of language training needs for employees to better understand procedures, regulations, and technologies
• Select and/ or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids and computer tutorials
• Specialize in developing instructional software for the apprenticeship of English language
• Maintain records of training activities and employee progress
• Track attendance record in training programs and report the attendance records to departmental heads
• Identify reasons for absence from training programs
• Inform training schedule to concerned personnel
