A Consultant is a senior physician, of a defined specialty, who has been approved by the Medical Director, Hospital Administration of KSMC and MOH, as meeting the professional and experience requirements for the grade.

He/she will be granted full privileges and professional control of patients assigned under his/her name. He/she will be responsible for the supervision, teaching and professional developments of junior medical staff assigned to his/her specialty. The Consultant is responsible to the Chairman of Critical Care Department.
