Job Description:
Investigate, and resolve software/hardware problems of computer users. Works under direct supervision.
Duties:
• Answers, evaluates and prioritizes incoming telephone, e-mail, and in person requests for assistance from users experiencing problem with hardware, software, networking and other computer related technologies.
• Interview user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostics procedure to determine source of errors.
• Determine whether problem is caused by hardware (such as Network card, printer, cables) or software (such as operating system , office ,antivirus , ERP)
• Calls software and hardware vendors to requests service regarding defective products.
• Install personal computers, software and peripheral equipments.
Documentation
• Logs and tracks calls using problem management database and maintains history records and related problems documentations.
• Documents activities, problems solved and issues resolved.
Miscellaneous:
• Attend meetings as requested.
• Maintain and increase knowledge and skills.
• Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.
