• The primary role of enterprise architecture function is to develop & Publish architecture principle, guidelines, templates (HLSDD, DSDD, Assessment, TOM, etc.,), standards, patterns and reference architecture for the various architecture units.


• Define Business Capability Architecture (BCA), Infrastructure Capability Architecture (ICA), continuous evolving technology standards, align core business and enabler applications towards standardization, ensure new solutions architecture alignment, solution completeness and cost optimization, on continuous basis assess if any architecture deviation and advise during project delivery phase, and architecture options and alignment for adhoc queries. 


• The senior enterprise architect contribute in delivering the BAB’s enterprise architecture program deliverables from As-Is, to To-Be through structured planning and roadmap design in specific/domain areas of an enterprise or technology areas like infrastructure/data/software architecture areas.


• Key activities of the senior enterprise architect also to take full ownership on end-to-end deliverables of any architecture delated works like analysis to developing insightful analysis and recommendations.


• Take full responsibility for creating, leading & presenting the individual deliverables with different stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• The primary responsibilities and accountability of senior enterprise architect are: 


• Accountable to Head, Enterprise Architecture Planning, Standards & Governance.


• Responsible in identifying, defining certain architecture standards areas and continuously assessing, seeking approval and publishing those standards for the wider architecture/solution community as bank’s standard working with/without an associate architect


• Responsible in reviewing and contributing in “Peer Review” and architecture review councils on project related architecture deliverables for alignment with the enterprise architecture standards, principles and guidelines , working together with/without associate architects


• Take full responsibility for creating, leading & presenting the individual deliverables with different stakeholders


• Fully take ownership on end-to-end deliverables of any architecture delated works like analysis to developing insightful analysis and recommendations


• Responsible to provide leadership to develop, communicate and execute organizational level architecture strategy and its roadmap with multiple stakeholders


• Responsible in certain area of enterprise architect in delivering BAB’s enterprise architecture strategic initiatives.


• Responsible in enterprise architecture required activities to meet business directive for BAB specific architecture framework and definition of principles.


• Responsible for enterprise architecture deliverables ensuring its deliveries meet BAB customer satisfactions. 


• Contribute in defining architecture capability desired by the bank by:


• Reviewing the business and architecture aspects of transformational program with business, finance acumen apart from advanced technology specialization.


• Providing organizational context for conducting enterprise architecture


• Providing and deliver scoping elements of the BAB business units affected by the Architecture Capability


• Take ownership in providing documentation of the established frameworks, methods, and processes that intersect with the Architecture Capability


• Contribute in establishment of capability maturity target


• Take ownership in defining the establish the architecture capability through:


• Providing the definition and establishment of the Organizational Model for BAB Enterprise


• Architecture Meta-model


• Providing the definition and establishment of the detailed process and resources for architecture governance


• Providing the selection and implementation tools that support the architecture activity


• Providing the definition of BAB Architecture Principles


• Contribute on the development of high-level aspiration vision of the architectures capabilities and business value to be delivered as a result of the proposed enterprise architecture.


• Take ownership and delivering the approved statement of architecture work that defines a program of works to develop and deploy the architecture outlined in the architecture vision.


• Contribute with lead enterprise architect in delivering the architecture roadmap and the supporting implementation and migration plan.


• Take ownership to deliver the implementation and migration plan is coordinated with the enterprise’s approach for managing and implementing change in the bank’s change portfolio.


• Contribute to provide the business value and cost of work packages and transition architecture deliverables and ensure understood by the bank’s stakeholders.


• Take responsibility and ensure the both domain and solution architecture deliverables are conformance with the target architecture by implementation projects.


• Take responsibility on execution of appropriate architecture governance processes or functions for delivering solution and any implementation driven architecture change requests.  


• Take ownership deliver and ensure that the architecture lifecycle is maintained.


• Responsible to support lead enterprise architect to deliver the architecture governance framework and ensure it is executed based on industry best practices.


• Contribute and ensure that the enterprise architecture capability meets BAB current architecture requirements.


• Responsibility to provide and ensure that the architecture requirements management process is sustained and operated for all relevant BAB architecture development lifecycle phases


• Contribute to deliver the management of architecture requirements identified during any execution of the BAB enterprise architecture life cycle or at on specific phase. 


• Responsible to provide and ensure that relevant architecture requirements are available for use by each EA lifecycle phase as the  phase is executed.

Primary Work Arrangements:

• This role will report directory to the Head, Enterprise Architecture Planning, Standards & Governance


• This role will collaborate with business SME, other EA core team members and domain architects, project teams, infrastructure management team and staff in various IT functional areas (like Infrastructure/Service Management, Application Management, IT Security, etc., ) as needed to fulfil the responsibilities described above.
