JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in the applications and systems testing by communicating the systems testing plans and documenting the result of the tests conducted to ensure that corrective actions are recommended in line with the Integrated requirements, BT systems plans and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
- Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that testing work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day- to-day operations:
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of testing work.
Execution of System Tests:
- Ensure the adherence to a standard Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
- Expert on the best practices application of IT to support assigned area of banking.
- Thorough understanding of IT industry standards and protocols.
- Preparation and execution of Test scenarios and Test Cases.
- Defect Logging into defect management system and to follow up with developers till it is closed.
- Will be on call outside of normal work hours for any emergencies or service interruptions.
- Will work outside of normal hours on any planned major activities that require evening or weekends.
- Defect logging and reporting.
- Extensive experience in Manual Testing - Integration testing, System testing, Regression testing and Database testing.
- Thorough understanding of IT industry standards and protocols.
- Apply thorough and extensive integration, and where cases might need functional testing on the various RB systems & applications to ensure all systems are working and integrated as per the project and/or CR scope of work.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement .
Reporting:
- Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Bank to meet requirements, policies and standards.
- Defect Life Cycle, defect Logging.
Safety & Quality:
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls.
Assignments:
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed .
