The Ecommerce Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the ecommerce of a company with a significant online presence. They will handle decision-making for the website, social media accounts, and online advertising. They will also be responsible for research and development of new online marketing strategies
Responsibilites:
• determine the format and features of the website in order to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for customers. Develop and alter the website as needed.
• keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world and research the company’s core demographics and how to best reach them, in order to maximize search engine traffic and the effect of the company’s targeted ad buys.
• The Ecommerce Manager will oversee the entire e-commerce division and divide up employees on tasks.
• plan for e-marketing expenditures well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximize their resources.
• Develop an online business strategy in collaboration with sales and marketing managers.
• making changes in the coding and content of a site to get the best ranking on a search engine (Search Engine Optimization, or SEO).
• work with designers, website developers and content providers to create or improve the eCommerce site.
• Ensure that the site is easy to use and navigate, and that it includes all the functions that visitors need to select, order and pay for products.
• keep up to date with Web technology, introducing additional functionality.
• work with payment providers to develop payment mechanisms that are secure and that protect customers’ personal details when they pay by debit or credit card.
• monitor site metrics, such as time for Web pages to load, total numbers of site visitors, and visitors by product or page then analyse the information and recommend changes to improve performance.
