1) Prepare and analyze monthly COGS, PPV and Manufacturing variances
2) Track, analyze and report inventory valuations to management, ensure valued inventories have accurate quantities and are properly valued in accordance with GAAP
3) Create and update standard costs in the bill of materials
4) Establish appropriate and comprehensive costing system
5) Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
6) Complete assigned account reconciliations and related analysis on a monthly basis to identify potential discrepancies in account balances
7) Report on periodic the variances of cost components
8) Analyze capital budgeting requests
9) Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead expenses in order to suggest changes that will improve cost efficiency and profitability
10) Review and validate VAT and withholding tax items and ensure that it is captured by the costing system
11) Participate in the month-end closing procedures and lead/coordinate the periodic physical inventory counts
12) Determine/identify obsolete and expired inventories and prepare required documentations to write-off such items
13) Prepare costing analyses, investigate and report production variances and determine the cause and recommend appropriate solution to the problem
14) Assist and participate in the preparation of financial reports, the Long Range Plan (LRP), Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts, Financial Feasibility Studies and financial presentations
15) Support the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of internal controls within the organization working with cross-functional teams and external consultants
16) Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement to drive effectiveness and efficiency with focus on increasing automation.
