Contribute to the profitability/liquidity of the company by effectively managing the financial operations. This includes the responsibility for the preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial reports, management of integrated accounting systems, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting and supervision of the daily accounting functions.
Develop financial systems to facilitate management decision-making.
Achieve yearly production plan of the company (within the optimum costs) at the required efficiency and time against established company KPI’s with accordance to glass quality standards.
Directs the preparation of all financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheets, cash flow and production reports to different level of management within the specified deadlines.
Review and monitor activity of working capital (receivables, payables, inventories inclusive spare parts) for minimizing the investment in working capital without jeopardizing the operational needs.
Oversee accounting department and treasury functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep them informed and to offer assistance.
Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against actual production cost versus target as well as monitor customer margins, highlight deviation & significance variations to the management.
Maintains and enhances powerful and target-oriented controlling tools including support of implementation in ERP-System.
Interface with the external auditors in connection of Interim & Final Audit as well as providing the complete audit file together with the Financial reports as per auditor’s requirement.
Familiarity of Accounting Standard and keeping up to date with IAS, IFRS, SOCPA and ensure compliance in area of relevance / impact to companies in relation to accounting practices and regulatory bodies.
Ensures compliance with defined accounting procedures and guidelines.
Manage the team and provide leadership to them.
Spearhead the Financial Planning process including budgets, forecasts and long range strategic plans.
Review all requests for capital spending for compliance with corporate guidelines, addition of economic value to the company and integration with the strategic direction of the company.
Participate in strategic planning, and formulating long term business plans.
Review and maintain Internal Control through business controlling processes.
Exercise fiduciary responsibility at all times.
Direct the activities of the finance and accounting personnel to ensure that company’s financial and other resources are managed according to professional standard and company’s approved policies.
Ensures the preparation of reports for management summarizing the business financial position in areas of income, expenses, capital usage and cash flows, and coordinate the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and financial forecast.
Develop funds requirements and strategies to invest surpluses.
Plans short and long-term finance for the company and advises on the financial consequences of internal and external decisions.
Perform other tasks directed by immediate superior or management.
3B. Managerial and/or Supervision Tasks
Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates for reviewing progress and work flow, discussing their suggestions and taking suitable actions accordingly
Identifying training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses
Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions
Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position in case of absence or whenever the need arise
