1.0 POSITION SUMMARY
1.1-Monitoring And Assist In / Out Patients Consultation

1.3-Supervision Of Related Psychiatric Specialists And Residents On Daily Basis
2.0 POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY:
2.1-Prepares specialized forensic evaluation reports for the courts and others based on knowledge of specific
forensic psychiatry issues, including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility and prediction of future
dangerousness.
2.2- Provides expert witness testimony, as a Consulting Forensic Examiner, in courts of law and administrative
hearings regarding competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility.
2.3-Conducts evaluations to provide opinions on civil commitment and other specialized forensic issues, as well
as the psychiatric status of patients.
2.4-Directs and instructs nurses, other professional staff, and Forensic Security Aides in the care and treatment
of residents including the management of dangerous patients.
2.5-Provides instruction and guidance to forensic clinicians that are conducting forensic evaluations on
competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility and other forensic evaluations of medical and psychiatric
issues in these cases.
2.6-Participates in the diagnosis and treatment of newly admitted, convalescent and chronic patients who are
charged with crimes, acquitted by reason of insanity, transferred to the facility as too dangerous to be treated in
other health settings or prisoners requiring specialized psychiatric treatment.
2.7- May complete physical, mental and neurological examinations of assigned patients
2.8-Interprets forensic psychiatric and clinical findings with patients, their families, other medical professionals,
attorneys.
2.9-Prepares diagnostic reports for judges, administrative law examiners, government officials, school officials
2.10-Prescribes medications for the treatment of psychiatric disorders.
2.11-Attends and participates in the training program in forensic psychiatry.
2.12-Receives advanced training in the field of psychiatry or neurology and specialized training in forensic
psychiatry.

2.13-Researches cognitive disorders to identify treatment methods.
2.14-Delivers speeches to lay and professional groups concerning forensic psychiatry, mental hygiene, child
guidance and related topics.
2.15-Represents the facility by providing consultative testimony to the courts throughout the province.
2.16-perform regular visits or per need to evaluate patients and attend meetings in area other than the than the
committee office like prisons, hospitals, social insurance office.
2.17-Oversees the work of professional staff by making and reviewing work assignments, establishing priorities,
coordinating activities, and resolving related work problems.
2.18-Participate in developing policies and procedures for the work of civil and forensic psychiatric committees,
admission departments and clinics,
2.19-Performs related work as assigned.
3.0 POSITION QUALIFICATION :
3.1 EDUCATION
3.1.1-Saudi of Arabic fellowship or equivalent in his field of specialty .
3.2 EXPERIENCE
3.2.1-Three (03) years experience post qualifications in preconized hospital.
3.2.2-Passing the technical evaluation .
3.3 EXPERTISE AND SKILLS:
3.3.1- Technical ability in his subspecialty.
3.3.2- The ability of establishing communications and good relations with others.
3.3.3- The ability to improve his subspecialty
3.3.4- English language skills
