The FM Project Director is responsible for overseeing the facility management operations at a five-star international airport, ensuring excellence in service delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This role demands a dynamic leader with strong expertise in facility management, operations, and client relations, specifically within an airport environment, capable of managing a diverse team and coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain and enhance the airport’s operational efficiency and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive FM strategies tailored to the unique needs of the airport environment and aligned with the airport’s operational goals and client expectations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of facility managers, engineers, and support staff to deliver top-tier services specifically in an airport setting.
• Establish KPIs and benchmarks specific to airport facility management to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operations.
2. Operations Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the airport facilities, ensuring seamless functionality of all systems and services critical to airport operations.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and renovation activities to minimize disruptions to airport operations and enhance the passenger experience.
• Ensure compliance with international aviation safety standards, regulations, and environmental policies relevant to airport facilities.
3. Client and Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for airport clients, tenants, airlines, and other stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and retention within the airport ecosystem.
• Conduct regular meetings with airport stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and align on operational priorities.
4. Budget and Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the FM budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability in line with airport financial practices.
• Analyze financial reports and data to identify areas for cost optimization and resource allocation specific to airport facilities.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers specializing in airport operations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
5. Project Management:
• Lead and coordinate special projects related to facility upgrades, expansions, and improvements within the airport.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards, with minimal disruption to airport operations.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies specific to the aviation industry to track progress and resolve issues.
6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance FM operations and client services in the airport setting.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in airport facility management and operations.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team, focusing on enhancing the airport’s competitive edge.
