They are looking to recruit a Project Director to lead a large Residnetial Projects in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Description
Reporting into the COO, your main obective will be to oversse the large residential construction proejcts in Abha, Saudi Arabia.
The project is a huge housing project located in Abha consisting of 793 Units of Buildings with a built up area of 216,550 m2 and 119 Units of Villas with a built up area of 35,154 m2.
In addituion to the above, you will be responsible for the following:
PROJECT EXECUTION
- Directs & monitors execution of all aspects of a project from concept to completion, ensuring that it adheres to contractual scope in terms of quality, cost and time parameters.- Establishes and defines the project organization that includes associated resource mobilization of equipment, finances, manpower, materials, technical support & sub-contractors.- Provides strong, effective and decisive project leadership by establishing an execution framework based on high standards of safety, quality, professionalism, productivity & profitability.- Maintains effective client relations, while safeguarding the company interests, to achieve on-going cooperation, prompt payment and establish the company as the Contractor of Choice for the Client with an aim of fostering further business opportunities.- Establishes and maintains an efficient and cost-effective work environment including employee welfare.- Research new value-engineering construction methodologies to enhance productivity.- Ensure strict adherence to all corporate, legal and governmental rules and regulations, policies & procedures and standards.- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
BUDGET/MIS/MONITORING
- Responsible for the P&L of all projects under his supervision.- Closely monitors project billings & collections, variations /change orders, project schedule, consultant approvals, etc. to ensure that projects are self-funded and independently sustainable in terms of profitability and cash flow.- Prepare periodic presentations to top management on project progress and raise timely alerts on any anticipated serious deviations and/or losses.
STAFFING
- Ensure that projects are manned by high calibre workforce and professionals and that he is an integral part of the selection and certification process.- Provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of project personnel based on training & development opportunities including researching new methodologies.- Establish a productivity based reward program as a motivator.
Profile
Qualifications: Accredited 4 year Bachelor of Engineering -Civil or relevant specialty
Other: PMP or PgMP (Program Mgt) certified
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years of related professional experience- Last 10 years in similar hands-on senior project management including design & construction. This does not include experience with Consultants.- Should have handled at least 3 major projects from inception to delivery in the last six years- Responsible for P&L of individual projects of minimum US$150M upwards and a manpower Size of 500 upwards- Experience preferably in GCC and specifically in Saudi Arabia desirable
