JOB PURPOSE:
To operate an efficient influent treatment plant in order to produce effluents that meet all quality and regulatory parameters.
JOB CONTEXT:
Process oriented operation. Involves biological, chemical and physical processes.
Necessity to maintain normal system conditions at all times since effects of abnormal conditions require substantial time for remediation
Requires heightened levels of alertness since control over quality of influents is exercised by Engineering ( laboratory is with Engineering)
Involves infrastructure planning for an expanding customer community
Actual work is performed down the line by third party staff, management of third party staff is challenging due to diversity of levels of skills, experience and commitment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering ( Civil/Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 12 years experience.
5 years in operation and maintenance of waste water treatment plants for both industrial and sanitary waste water
