JOB PURPOSE:
Collect payments from customers in order to ensure the proper flow of cash within the company.
JOB CONTEXT:
Reporting to Sr. Revenue Representative, the jobholder is responsible for the collection process of payments from customers. Response time to the customer is crucial within the Customer Service function. Although there is no formal competition to Marafiq in Al Jubail & Yanbu, it is likely that the market will become more open in the future; making it imperative for Marafiq to build customer loyalty through the standard of its customer services.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
Finance daily, regarding payments and invoicing
Front Office (daily, regarding transfers of service and disconnections/reconnections and collecting checks)
Back Office (daily, regarding invoice adjustments)
Legal (monthly, regarding disputed payments)
Call centre to solve customer problems.
T&D and water department (weekly, regarding disconnection and reconnection of service due to non payment.
External:
Customers and banks on a monthly basis
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
University graduate in Accounting or a Finance-related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
4-5 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting environment.
1 years in a Billing & Collection role, ideally within the utilities or telecommunications sector.
Prior exposure to automated billing systems.
Excellent report-writing skills.
