JOB PURPOSE:
Supervise and monitor the seawater cooling system, Tank farm Plants and all related auxiliaries routine operations during the shift, prepare shift report and ensure that seawater cooling plant parameters are maintained and within the required standard.
JOB CONTEXT:
The prime responsibility of the jobholder is to supervise the operation of the seawater cooling facilities and associated auxiliaries during the shift and to supervise the operators, prepare shift reports and ensure the smooth operations of the facility.
The seawater cooling section work three shifts four crews (24 hours/day).
The nature of the department activity requires fieldwork rather than office work, and hence the employees are subject to great deal of hazardous chemicals, high temperature and pressure media, rotating equipment, etc.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
Daily contact with Operations Engineer and Seawater Cooling Superintendent to report work progress and discuss any problems and/or pending issues.
Daily status meeting with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations Departments.
External:
Frequent contact with Heavy Industries Customers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
3 - 5 years’ relevant engineering/maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
2 - 3 years’ operational water treatment experience.
Previous supervisory/man-management experience.
Project management experience.
