General Ledger Accounting Assistant is accountable for creating journal entries with supporting documentation to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Looking after the day- to- day processing of accounts receivable transactions to ensure that finances is maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
• Maintain a master list of monthly journal entries
• Record supporting information for all journal entries
• Enter all journal entries into the accounting system
• Ensure that reversing entries occur
• Create recurring journal entry templates
• Ensure that recurring entries are changed or terminated at appropriate trigger points
• Maintain detailed listings of the contents of all balance sheet accounts
• Assist auditors with journal entry examinations
• Assist in the production of financial statements
• Assist in writing footnotes to the financial statements
• Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis
• Monthly expense variance analysis
• Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and compliance to internal policies
• Manage Fixed Assets
• Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
• Property, sales and use tax and franchise tax returns
• Oracle implementation team member
• Interface with management in various departments, including engineering, sales operations, IT and legal.
