Our client a FMCG distributor company is looking to hire a Custom Clearance Manager, the role is to assist in managing customs and clearance sections through rigorous follow up of shipment, documents to ensure arrival of shipment without any delay, demurrage and penaltiesThe Role
Reporting to the Procurement Director the role is as follows:
Management of the teams
Liaison with government entities
Training the team on customs issues
Ensures that all parts have accurate product descriptions, appropriate tariff classifications, and meet regulatory requirements for new and existing products.
Responsible for forwarder/ carrier/ agent payments on collect shipments
Liaise with Customs on shipment arrivals where information is needed
