Job Overview
Directs & Manages the Bank’s centralized Financial & Planning Divisions by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Directly reports to Managing Director
Responsibilities
Supervises reviews and monitors the preparation of Bank’s financial position updates, financial statistics, expenditure statements and other relevant financial reports.
Supervises a team of Accountants and clerical staff in the Head Office Finance & Planning Division. Is responsible for the overall direction and evaluation of this unit. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Designs, suggests and implements effective accounting and cost control procedures.
Plans and revises the preparation of bank’s financial strategy and annual budget for all departments and branches. Forecasts, monitors and prepares analytical reports on new and existing product sand the project cost. Prepares and submits reviews, analytical studies, status reports and proposals to the management and auditors, on financial related matters.
Provides suggestions and consultation to department heads/ managers with regard to budgetary and expenditures. Coordinates and liaise with internal and external auditors. Responds to inquiries from the senior management and auditors, on financial related matters.
Supervises the staff; evaluates their performance; Attends to their problems; Provides guidance and training.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
