Accountability
Support the Group CFO in establishing and managing the Group-level Accounting function that will consolidate the accounting and financial reporting for the company, incorporating financial data from the separate business lines and subsidiaries as required and as reorganized in the future.
Statutory and regulatory reporting and filings to external parties; covering fiscal and internal audits, Zakat / tax returns, company registry, shareholders and Ministry of Commerce & Investment requirements.
Develop and enforce budgeting and financial control framework across the Group.
Upholding outmost confidentiality and privacy levels over the Groups data, information and transactions, while ensuring that internal controls are set up to maintain such.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process of backup in place for every critical operation.
Maintain all journal ledgers and accounting records for the company and its subsidiaries through the Accounting team and in coordination with the subsidiaries’ Financial Controllers, with responsibility for preparing aggregated and consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial positions and statements.
Provide centralized transactional finance services to business lines and ensure quality and delivery of service provision.
Overseeing implementation of Accounting ERP platform and utilizing the system to maintain company accounts and produce financial reporting.
Coordinating with corporate financial consultants, external auditors, Zakat/tax advisors and other third parties for financial audits, statutory reporting and filings on behalf of the company.
Establish and implement Group level financial control mechanisms via centralized budgeting, financial review and expense management.
Monitor emerging trends and technology to determine ways to further enhance/automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability.
Develop monthly and quarterly financial reports for the management and executive teams, on subsidiary and Group level.
Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial positions as needed.
Collaborates with the Accounting Team, Group Financial Controllers and the CFO to support the overall department goals and objectives.
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
As required by business needs, create internal accounting Group and corporate accounting policies, in addition to the maintenance and continuous upholding of existing policies.
Management and continuous enhancement of the Groups Chart of Accounts to enable optimal lean accounting and reporting.
Responds to inquiries from the President, Subsidiary CEOs, Financial Controllers, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and ad-hoc requirements.
